Why Choose Japan Dreamscapes?
Japan Dreamscapes offers you the opportunity to see Authentic Japan off the beaten path. Several of our workshops are cross country expeditions, introducing our participants to locations such Mt. Fuji, Toshogu Nikko, or Hirosaki Castle while also including photographic subjects like cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, and Hokkaido’s winter wonderlands. No matter what location or photographic subject you choose, our workshop leaders know the best hours to make your photography experience as private as possible.
Our staff is a balanced mixture of Native Japanese staff and members from Canada and the United States. Our international members may have Canadian or American citizenship, but their wanderlust has taken them all over the globe in search of the perfect image. How does this help you as a client at JDS? Our Native Japanese staff have over 100 years combined experience living and photographing in Japan, and our international associates bring perspective. They have an understanding about why visitors come to Japan and what they are eager to see. This frame of mind is something that carries over into the creation of tours and helps our clients take photos of their lifetimes!
Look through the tours or speak to us and create one of your own private Japan photography tours so you can enjoy a perfectly-crafted experience tailored exactly to your needs.
We also feel that being tied to the community in which we photograph and travel is vitally important. With that in mind, we have close relationships with local merchants such as 'Otomisan.com', an organizer and founder who traces his roots to Niigata and the natural beauty that this prefecture has to offer. Pier Bandai is another collection of local merchants who both feed us on our photo adventures as well as help us find some 'locals only' pieces of information that we can share with clients.
