I am currently leading my annual Hokkaido, Mt. Fuji, Snow Monkey, World of Samurai, and birding in Hokkaido featuring several of Hokkaido’s bountiful wildlife. During our photo workshop we are planning on seeing The Steller’s Sea Eagles and other raptors next week plus the Red-Crowned Cranes, and the largest herd of Sika Deer on the planet. Now we are walking the same ancient Shinto pilgrimage route that infamous samurai sought out such as the shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Takeda Shingen, and Uesugi Kenshin used hundreds of year before. In the morning, we happened upon a dragon emanating so much raw power, that we understood that if we returned to the same location in the evening, and we didn’t see the dragon, he would be patrolling his domain, Matsumoto Castle - Lake Suwako before returning to replenish its energies and welcome other pilgrims. My Camera settings were 1“sec, f/11, and 64 ISO. I used a tripod my lens was a 24-105mm.
